For those of you that took ALEKS courses...

Just wanted to know if any of the courses are duplicates at EC(Business Program). I know the Business Stats and Intro to Stats are not duplicates at TESC but wanted to get some feedback from EC...I searched in the original ALEKS thread but did not find an appropriate answer...

I have read the entire 200+ posts on the ALEKS thread trying to get the exact steps to take the Stats class and have it credited to TESC. Can someone who has done it already make one post here that clearly lays out how to earn the credit from signing up, working the course to get a 70%, send it to xxx and then xxxxx

Sign up for ALEKS here: ALEKS -- Assessment and Learning, K-12, Higher Education, Automated Tutor, Math Choose the course you want to take, work the course (pretty self-explanatory once you're in the course and working on it) until you've reached at least 70% assessed complete. Can be done in hours, days, weeks, or months depending on the level of expertise you already have with the subject matter and the amount of time you devote to it. Once you've hit 70% or more on an assessment, you go to ACE to submit it and get credit, as below:

You go to this link: https://www.acenet.edu/transcripts/register/index.cfm and create an account with ACE (if you don't already have one.) Then log into your ACE acct, and on the 'Search Courses' page, scroll down until you see 'ALEKS'. ACE will display the 9 ALEKS courses that are approved for credit. Click on the ALEKS course, and then click the 'Add course' button, then on the 'My Courses' page, add in the date that you completed the course (i.e., hit 70% or higher on an assessment), and click the 'Submit Courses' button.

ACE will then send the approval request to ALEKS, ALEKS will aprove it, and then in about 3 days, ACE will have processed it and will send you an email telling you you have credits available on your transcript. Log back into ACE, and request the transcript; they'll send it to your school, and then you're home free!
