No need to double post, your answer is get a high school diploma before thinking about going for an associates. Stop trying to find short cuts when you didn’t even make the first milestone which is a high school diploma or GED.

I don't know about actually completing an associate's degree before you finish high school, if that's what you mean. But you can make a lot of progress toward one depending on your situation. I don't know what grade you're in, If you are in public or private school or home schooled, and what they offer, but if they offer a lot of AP classes, then I would take as many of those as possible. If you complete them and are able to get a good score on the AP exams, Most colleges will accept them for college credit, which you cannot say for other ACE credit-recommendation sources. If you graduate with 4 solid AP scores, that's a semester completed right there. If you complete eight, that's an entire year. or home schooled,

Similar for international baccalaureate classes and exams, if those are available in your area.

Once you are out of high school, you have no access to these sources of credit, so if you have access to them, use them. They are much more valuable and versatile than study.com, clep, Sophia, Etcetera.

Does your state have a dual credit option? That would be your best bet. Although getting enough to reach an associate degree would be unlikely. But it could get you really close.

It's not his/her fault. There's a technical issue with the site. You've probably noticed that some posts take 4-5 hours to post, and sometimes some posts just get lost.

You should look at dual-enrollment options. Regardless though, it seems that 9 ACE credit would be enough for Charter Oak State College:

Newlane University (Nationally accredited) was fine with me not having a high school diploma as I had lots of ACE credit.

They're super cheap too and offer a monthly payment plan.

I don't know New York rules on dual enrollment. Where I live high school students can take college courses early and the state scholarship program helps with cost at the state public and private universities and community college system. Some people do earn associates prior to end of grade 12.
You may want to study the advice and information on a site called Homeschooling for College Credit. Even if you aren't homeschooling you may find the information helpful for your situation. https://homeschoolingforcollegecredit.org/

You may want to look over the Dual Enrollment options at Pierpont College (in West Virginia). https://www.pierpont.edu/admissions/dual-enrollment/

I believe HS students can take CLEP exams, AP classes, ACTFL exams if they are fluent in foreign langages, Saylor, Study and Sophia. PADI scuba diving creds are also ACE accredited. Not sure if Tesu lets hs students sign up for TECEP exams. I believe Google certs can be done as well.

UMPI is strict with their minimum age policy, but these are options that can be done now. I wonder if ASU also has options for HS students. I was able to take their 1 credit class without submitting my foreign HS degree.
