Yeah, that is a great deal. They also appear to have some great financial aid options in addition to FAFSA that could make it more affordable.

This is an option I'd also consider, but I suspect it's not self-paced, which is pretty important to me for a masters program.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

Complete:
MBA (IT Management), 2019, Western Governors University
BSBA (Computer Information Systems), 2019, Thomas Edison State University
ASNSM (Computer Science), 2019, Thomas Edison State University

Great news! Congratulations, and wish you continued success ahead.

So, that kind of answers one of my questions in another thread- whether TESU online degrees will be considered by Ivy League Schools, should I choose to apply for a master’s program.

Now I got a hard choice to make, the program is quite expensive and I got a new position at work that I'm not sure I can combine with a regular study schedule. Staying with a competency-based program might be a safer bet for me.

So if that's true, the real question is whether or not the degree from UPenn will take you higher than your new job or if you could do the same with a degree from AnyNameU. I'm of the opinion that one shouldn't step over dollars to pick up pennies- but I know zero about your career field, so the ROI is beyond my understanding for your situation. In my mind, it's an easy choice, so I might be missing something important.

I don't think it would influence greatly my career. I live in Canada in a french province. US Ivy's don't carry as much weight, great brands like Harvard or Yale are known, but uPenn is definitively "outside the radar". That being said I would love to do it.

My concerns can be resumed as such:

Longer than competency based.
More technical (harder than NAU with more math).
More Expensive (don't forget US-CAN conversion)
I sometimes do a lot of overtime at work.

Which means I doubt I can take more than 1 course at a time. Which put me into 3 years to finish the program. Which also add risk that life gets in the way. Which would mean a lot of money spent for not graduating.

You decided not to accept UPenn's offer?

I just finished their Computational Thinking for Problem Solving course. It was pretty easy, but I hear their actual courses are more difficult. I'm hoping that UPenn will extend me an offer for the MCIT program.

I delayed my entry in the program for a year, unfortunately, I don't think I can successfully pursue this program currently.
