Graduate Independent Study

Anyone know of any independent study for grad students - particularly business courses? BYU and University of Idaho are the only 2 that I know of and they don't have grad business courses available.

Thanks! I will share these. They remind me of the VESI teacher/education courses. My friend is definitely look for business independent study grad courses. I don't know if they'll have any luck. Seems like independent study/correspondence type courses have pretty much converted to online courses.

I'm not sure how you're defining the term "independant study" but once upon a time all the programs offered through the University of London were considered to be independant study.

My friend is looking for business grad classes like the independent study courses offered through BYU and University of Idaho like I said in my initial post. Supposedly he found a grad program he can transfer in 18 credits and wants to "cheat the system" with independent study courses. I don't know how that's cheating the system but ok. LOL

Which school is allowing transferring in 18 credits? How many are required total? I'm at Walden and maxing out my 15 transfer courses, plus I got my first term free. Many of my credits will be from University of the People, but those are not necessarily independent study classes just inexpensive.

Anyhow, LawShelf and ASU's new global certification moocs that come with grad credits could be an option. Seems like both of those are study at your own pace.

If you come across any others though, I would like to know. I plan to do a JD degree after this and might be looking for other places to get electives. I'll probably use quite a few from LawShelf if I can.

*Ding ding* I was going to recommend the ASU Global Cert as it can be up to 15 grad credits for free! I still need to read up on that because it may be possible to have it transfer to whichever college/university your friend is interested in... I am thinking it may or may not fully be transferable depending on how they are graded and shows on the transcript!
