Usually every month. They may skip months occasionally(not sure). I'd go ahead and apply the first chance he gets and check email (including spam folder) every day afterwards until you get in. Usually the email notification is sent out in a batch to all recipients within a few business days of the first of the new month.

If you applied this month, the earliest you'll hear back will be the beginning of next month as they do them in batches at the beginning of each month.

If you haven't heard anything by the 5th of June or so, it may be that they already filled the monthly quota for June and you'll be postponed to July. But chances are pretty good that you'll get in for June since you applied early in the month.

I applied in April and never heard anything for May. Is there a chance I could be accepted in June, or do I have to apply again later this month?

Make sure you check your spam filter. Some folks have missed their invitations because of that.

If you didn't get picked for May, they may have already met their quota for that month, particularly if you applied late in the month. Which means you should get picked in June. If you haven't received an email by June 5th then you might need to apply again or something.

FYI, as long as you live in the USA and you haven't taken Personal Finance previously at Study.com you should be eligible for the scholarship. As far as I've seen, every eligible applicant eventually gets selected. Taking a couple months is normal though.

Okay, thanks. I did apply late in the month and I've been checking my spam filter. I'll keep looking in June.

Can I still apply and be qualified for the scholarship if I already have an active account with Study.com, but have never taken the Personal Finance course?

No, the scholarship ended the End of May. It's OK though, get all the FREE credits done ASAP and your ALEKS as well.
For ALEKS, since you've completed College Algebra, get the Trigonometry and at least try to get the Stats course done.
