I bet the school is bleeding money now that we are fairly deep into the pandemic. Allowing for max alternative credit works when you have a base of full tuition-paying, in-person students. I wonder how many of their local in-person students have found the alternative credit landscape and simply decided to save that $1500 per class.

I assume that if you're already in a degree program then you're grandfathered in but I'll ask my advisor as well. Fortunately (or not) I've taken a fair number of credits from colleges and not just online providers so I may be ok in either case.

I'm the opposite of you. All of my credits, except for two TESU classes, come from CLEPs, DSSTs, SL, and SDC. Just emailed my advisor, hopefully I can get everything done by March. That was the plan anyway.

COSC and TESU is on the ball, they have to follow what state and accreditation agencies require, in due time, I think Excelsior is going to have to institute something similar. All in all, for those who are close to getting it done, do the Upper Level requirements right away and transfer them all in. You can take the SOS-110 course in March at the latest and get your ACE/NCCRS transferred to them before you start or during the course as March 31 is the last day to have them fully transferred in.

I don't remember if any of the threads linked to the FAQ yet. Some of the grandfathering in is discussed on there. here https://www.tesu.edu/admissions/faqs-tra...ee-program

some cases will allow the "single source" and other cases "all sources". read the FAQ and ask advisor.

it does kind feel like gut punch right at end of year.....

It seems like Community College credits will not count towards the 90 maximum credits allowed. I called them today and they guy from addmissions  seemed to agree with me. I'll call them again tomorrow to confirm with Academic advising.

haven't seen a link in some of the threads to the FAQ on the new policy, but with so many threads so fast on the topic, I'm sure I missed it..... There are different case scenarios in the FAQ about if you are already enrolled, vs going to enroll and all of that.

@diamonds: simple answer is yes. 60 is more than the 24 needed. assumes the credits are distributed in the degree plan properly of course.
