HUGE Question about TESU Academic Evaluations...
#11
I'm just trying to see if they applied some SL courses and not others? Or some CLEP and not others? If there were some from each, then that would be weird. If they only applied CLEP, then obviously they did not get to SL yet.

With mine, even though they sent me an email telling me that they had done my transcripts, I got additional ones as they went through the different ones. So I got CLEP done separately from DSST, and my 3 colleges separate from each other as well. Even though they all came in around the same time, they went through each transcript one by one, and sent something saying it was complete each time.

They did apply my 3 cleps: Principles of Management, Intro to Soc, and Intro to Psych. Intro to Comm from S.L.

Why didn't they apply any of my S/L from 2012 is the question I sent them as well as the ones I completed this year... Someone Obviously made a HUGE mistake.

You need to relax.

TESU is slow. If there is a major issue, the registrar will write a customized paragraph to you detailing the reasons why directly inside your evaluation. They haven't done that, so don't assume the worst. Waiting another week or two is probably the best thing to do. As long as the ACE or SL transcript is shown as received, I would just wait.

Here is a sample of the customized remarks they might put in your eval rather than boilerplate:

01/29/16 Your xxxx transcript lists credits
which appear to be transfer credit.

AP xyzabcdefghi exams

Official score reports for advanced placement examinations can be
obtained by writing
the Advanced Placement Program (AP), P.O. Box 6671, Princeton, NJ
08541-6671 or by calling (609) 771-7300.

If they are going to deny something, they usually put the course in the other section and give it an RI flag (ruled ineligible) or DEV (developmental) or something similar, and it will be there as zero credits.

On mine, it looks like this:

8 ENGL65A Grammar Review I 0.00 A DEC-001 *RI*TE*DEV*CC

That is not a zero credit class. But I got zero for that.

I'm trying to help, still a little confused about where these courses are listed. For example, all of my courses that have been evaluated are on my Academic Evaluation, under the specific sections. Even if they haven't been used (for various reasons), they are listed under "Other Courses" and given a TESU course number, and then under NOTES, it's listed why they weren't credited (like DUP for duplicate or RI for Ruled Ineligible).

None of the courses you show as listed by ACE have a course number. Where are you getting the info from TESU that they have evaluated the courses but aren't putting them on your Evaluation? Where are you getting this list from???

Also, the course from SL that was evaluated - why was it, when the rest weren't? Did you send it in directly from SL separately from the rest? Because normally they do an entire transcript at one time.

Again, just trying to help, I know you're frustrated, but I just can't figure out where you came up with the list, and where you're getting this info from. It doesn't look like it's from the Academic Eval from TESU, but I could be wrong.

Its not the academic Eval from TESU, its my entire transcript from ACE credit login portal that I sent to TESU way back on March 29th.

I have no CLUE why S/L intro to Comm was included and no other S/L course was on official academic evaluation? I'm starting to think the junior academic advisor didn't read thru my entire ACE transcript or S/L courses added to my ACE transcript and so they ONLY added my latest and last completed S/L course which was Intro to Comm.

Why SHOULD I RELAX when TESU made a HUGE error on their part? I sent my transcripts on Mar 29th and they only recognized 12 out of 105 CREDITS as sent on my CLEP and ACE transcripts. They OBVIOUSLY made a HUGE MISTAKE and I'm pissed about it because its deflating my chances at a job promotion that I was counting on as I was going to be done with all my courses by JULY 1st. TESU seriously needs to get its act TOGETHER and take the evaluation seriously. This is real LIFE not some sideshow rodeo.

OK. I'm done with you and this thread. Good luck with your future endeavors, because you're going to need it judging by the way you are dealing with this issue.

This is an issue that likely a simple phone call on Monday will shed some light on. It's frustrating, but your overreaction is just making it worse for you. This is not the disaster you're making it out to be.
