I just learned about EU's change and that you have to do 15 credits with them now instead of 7! What am I to do now?
I have attached our original plan. Please have a look!
Summary:
My daughter has 74 credits already and is/was aiming for an online Bachelor of Science of Liberal Arts at EU. The plan is to transfer in as many credits as possible.
Goal: finish before summer 2026
Cost: as cost efficient as possible.
Location: the Netherlands
Can someone explain if it makes sense to still go with EU? What would be the cost? Will TESU be cheaper/faster?
Someone has a link to a degree plan for Tesu?
With these credits, would UMPI or UotP also be a cheap option?
Link where I can find the information are also welcome. I'm having a hard time finding the specific info on their websites!

I am sorry to hear that EU has beefed up its graduation requirements. Over $500 a credit for "resident" online courses significantly increases the cost of getting a bachelor's degree. I still think it will be worth it, especially since she is already enrolled and met all the international student requirements for admission. From viewing her transcript, I see that she has a talent for languages. Are there any options for challenging languages at the upper-division level? I hope people chime in on UMPI, the University of the People, and TESU. Good luck! Personally, UMPI would be my next choice, but I am not familiar with all the international student hoops to jump through. How many resident credits are required for the associate's degree at EU?

Thanks! No, she's not enrolled yet.
For the associate's degree I believe it's still 7.
Also, be aware that tuition rates vary at many universities depending on state residency, US residency, and international.
One of the problems with earning an associate degree is that not all schools accept them as completing general education when transferring to a bachelor's program at another school. At least that has been my experience. The associate's degree at EU would at least give her a tangible victory for all the effort up to this point.
My suggestion is to switch to the UMPI BA Psychology degree, complete the 90+ credits for transfer using Sophia.org and Study.com

I agree that UMPI is a good option. I'm also curious - why this degree, specifically?

Basically, I'm making educated guesses at to what age the student is. From the previous thread, they're 16, two years later they're 18, I am guessing they turn 19 sometime this year, and can drag that finish until the end of 2026 when they turn 20! Furthermore, Liberal Studies and Psychology were the two choices in the previous thread, because they're not in the US and in EU, a Liberal Studies degree doesn't open as many doors to Master programs... It really depends on the student, if they don't turn 20 by end of 2026, they can't enroll in UMPI, thus, the other option is TESU or UoPeople instead of EU, for cost, ease, speed to finish.

This is a great suggestion and thank you for taking the time to looking into our situation a bit deeper! This could really be a good option, Psychology at UMPI. The only thing is, she will only turn 20 in October 2027. When can she enroll in UMPI? We are not in a hurry, so fur us it would be okay to finish her bachelor later than summer 2026.

Another question... UoP, do they have the same accreditation as the other ones?
Skip EU, UMPI for now, focus on UoPeople and TESU, they just require 90+ credits from Sophia.org to transfer into the degree. UoPeople just got Regional Accreditation in addition to National Accreditation a few months ago... You can do a double degree at UoPeople, the BSBA first and then the BSCS if you wanted a second degree. At TESU, it'll be the same recommendation, do the double degree and finish at the same time.
