Has anyone passed the DSST Here's To Your Health Exam recently? I took this exam this past August and scored a disappointing 389 after thoroughly studying the IC flashcards. I saw a number of posts on this forum from those who passed the exam after only using the flashcards. Some went on to state that many questions on the exam were covered in the flashcards. I do not recall seeing much on the exam that was covered in the flashcards. I am curious as to whether the exam was changed after those postings of passed test results that I read on this forum. I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has passed this exam in the last 3 months who can tell me if other study resources were used to pass the exam.
I would like to retake this exam soon since the three month waiting period has expired.

If you're a current subscriber, I would recommend checking out the Specific Feedback section of this discussion forum; there's a lot of recent feedback on this test.
Also, when you use the InstantCert flashcards, be sure that you are reading EVERYTHING. Don't just focus on what goes in the blanks--study the explanations closely as well since some of the information contained in them may help you to get an answer correct on the test.
Finally, many people do successfully use just the InstantCert flashcards to pass their exams but in the end, you need to figure out what works for YOU. That may mean supplementing our flashcards with a little extra preparation, if necessary. Just spending a few minutes reading the information in Specific Feedback can give you some ideas of things to look up on Wikipedia; that little bit of extra reading can mean a few extra points on the test and the difference between a FAIL and a PASS.
Good luck!

Thanks for your response, Steve. I actually used those study techniques in all of the CLEP and DSST exams taken since becoming an IC subscriber. Reading the forum posts, creating manual flash cards, taking Peterson exams and researching Wikipedia has been what has helped me to pass exams but none of those techniques were sufficient at passing the Here's To Your Health exam. There is suspicion that the exam was recently changed to contain many questions not covered in the IC flash cards. I believe I read somewhere that there was an increase in failed test scores on this exam since it was changed.
IC has helped me to obtain all of my English, social science and humanities credits. I need to earn 6 more natural science credits. I hope to get a response from someone on this forum who has recently taken and passed this exam. Thanks again!

Hello again, Julia
Can you tell me where I can find the Peterson Study Guide? I did not see "Here's To Your Health" among the list of Peterson practice exams. Can I find this practice exam elsewhere?

Took this exam today using just InstantCert. Studied for two weeks and received a 438. The questions I knew from studying were no problem of course...but the one's I didn't know can almost be figured out by carefully reading questions and answers. If you closely read answers...you can eliminate 2-3 out of the 4 answers because they do not make sense. Just read EVERYTHING carefully and you'll be fine.

Thank you very much, Brysanna. Your advice is very good. I had not failed an exam since becoming an IC member and may have been a bit overconfident and hasty when I took and failed the HTYH exam. I will certainly take your advice and move through the questions much more slowly Thanks again!

You're welcome...I suffer from severe test anxiety so this was not an easy event. When I came to a question I didn't know...I just sat back...took a drink of water...carefully looked at each...and the answer seemed to jump out....LOL

Brysanna,
Your comments are helping me to understand how important it is to move slowly through the exam, especially given the fact that there is more than enough time to take the exam. Thank you again!!!!
