Which of the 3 schools have you found best in terms of
cost
advisory staff
overall ease and pace of program
I will be going in with no prior credit and plan on testing out 100% of the Bachelors in Business. Thanks again.
Most people choose TESC if they want to 100% test out because it's the only of the big 3 that will still allow this. Excelsior makes you take a Capstone and COSC makes you take both a Cornerstone and a Capstone. For strictly convenience, TESC may be the best option if you're really against taking a class.
However, the other two are still worth considering even if you don't think you want to take a forced Cap/Cornerstone. First of all, both COSC and EC can work out to be cheaper than TESC, depending on what you want to do. Also, if your math isn't strong, you may not be able to test out of the BSBA math requirement at TESC. For COSC, all you'll need is college math - no statistics or pre-cal at all!
I can't say much more about EC because I just never really looked into it, but I can talk about COSC and have done a lot of reading about TESC, so feel a little bit more familiar with it than EC. COSC is generally known for its good customer service and advisory staff, but all of the big 3 have their ups and downs.
For COSC questions, you may want to check out this thread I started a while back:
http://www.degreeforum.net/excelsior-tho...s+answered Lots of TESC questions have been answered on the forum, but not too many COSC students here so that's why I started it.
The other thing that I would add regarding Cap/Cornerstone classes. Even if you choose TESC, I HIGHLY recommend that you take at least one online class before starting the MBA. I really didn't want to do my Capstone class at COSC and truly dreaded it. (I matriculated before they added the Cornerstone requirement so didn't have to do that), however I learned SO much about online classes. Yes, of course, I learned about strategic management, which was the topic of the course. However, I had only ever taken one other online class in my life and the Capstone really taught me about how to work in an online environment. Not only that, but no matter how much you learn when studying for a CLEP, you don't learn about how to write a college-level paper and use the proper APA citations. I was clueless about this a classmate at COSC taught me all about this. I now feel fully prepared for my MBA to start in a few weeks. I know how to take an online class and understand the expectations. At the price of a graduate credit, I think it's better to learn all of this at an undergrad level. I really wouldn't recommend walking into an MBA program without any online class experience.
