How many Study.com courses do I have to take to get the TES-100 waived?

Hmm seems a bit fishy but this is the second person I've been told by. Study.com needs to send your transcripts to TESU but they are very late to respond if you do not have an active membership. The TES-100 course can be finished in 1 day, but it would have been nice to save $300 dollars.

The TES-100 course will not be waived after 7/1/18 due to a Study.com affiliation - it can only be waiver based the standard TESU rule of meeting 104 courses transferred in.   It is possible to never take a Study.com course and have that waived if/when you transfer in 104 credits.  The Study.com affiliation now gets you discounts in other areas so there is defiantly still value to it - the residency discount alone and their many UL offerings (just zero impact on getting the TES-100 Cornerstone waived).  So, in short don't ask for the TES-100 to be waived until you reach the 104 credit transfer minimum (and when you ask for it don't mention Study - it will just confuse 'them' because what your asking for would have nothing to due with Study.com anymore)

So I would need to ask to have it waived based on transferring in 104 or more credits? I only needed to take 4 classes (currently enrolled in 9 but need that TES-100 to graduate).

Unless they have completely changed their own internal policy (this is possible, they have been on a change craze during much of 2018), if you have transferred in 104 credits then they should waive it.  If you are taking those 9 courses through TESU (as that is 27 out of a std 120 in a bachelor) then you likely would be at less than 104 transferred in credits and then yes you would have to take the cornerstone.

EDIT: They did remove the wording about the 104 credit waiver from the Per Credit Tuition Plan page (it used to be there -very recently at that).  And the page would seem current as of today due to the following note -  Note: All tuition costs listed here were approved on June 9, 2018 by the Board of Trustees of Thomas Edison State University and are effective July 1, 2018. Tuition and fees are subject to change.

Hmm I wonder why they are changing so many policies?

I meant 9 credits (sorry for the confusion) so I might have sent in close to 110 I believe... but I will still take the course and provide feedback.

I suspect this has much to do with it "Merodie A. Hancock, PhD, was unanimously elected the fourth president of Thomas Edison State University by the institution’s Board of Trustees at a special board meeting today. She will take office on March 5, 2018." https://www.tesu.edu/nursing/news/163755...university

TESU changes their policies fairly frequently, for the last 5 or so years I've been on the forum.  They used to take TECEP's for residency, that stopped at some point (they took it for my 2014/15 catalog).  They used to let you transfer in the Strategic Management capstone (like from PF), that stopped at some point, and then all degrees needed the capstone taken in-house.  They didn't used to have a residency waiver, they instituted it.  They used to have an enrollment fee, that went away.  They used to take Shmoop, that stopped.  They used to take FEMA, that stopped.

Constant changes, although maybe only 1 thing a year or so, but it maybe feels like it's more than it is?  But there is nothing wrong with making changes, schools do it all the time.
