I NEED to pass this stupid test
#1
OK, I think I'm getting ready to take this CLEP; I've been studying the cards for a couple of weeks now. Like the guy above me, I was terrible at math back in High School, and havent touched it in 14 years or so since I passed Algebra (second go round). All of the basics are clicking after studying here, and a few other resources (purplemath, dr math, clep-info).

Just a couple questions:
Is there any good practice test I should try before I go, that would give me a good indication of where I stand?

Everyone says you should REALLY know functions; I dont really know what that means. I got the basics down (I think), at least as far as what is covered in the two sections here...is that what I need?

Thanks for any advice...I NEED to pass this stupid test, and be done with math FOREVER!!! Haha not really, but at least for a while...

Deffinitly take the Peterson practice test. I do not know the free site address off hand but if you do a search it will come up.

Your post was moved so others would see it, but we don't know what math test you are taking.

Once you look at the topics in the study guide on the CLEP website, you can take the petersons exam.

Also if you are having issues with the material, use khanacademy.org, I cannot tell you enough how great it is, you just have to experience it.

Thanks! I'm watching these now, they are very well done!

I scheduled my CLEP for 6 days from now...the pressure oughta make me work. I'll let you all know how it goes!
