Has anyone else had an issue with deposits? I completed my application for enrollment as some of you know. I was just sent an email yesterday afternoon that I was approved and congratulations and etc. So I logged into my Mainstreet account and sure enough, I was all set! I was super excited but I didn't see any changes except for application status. Fast forward a few hours later I went back and notice it had a "hold on the account" until I completed the financial responsibility paperwork on the to-do list. So I completed that and then the account was off hold and went back to normal. Then about 1 hour later I noticed it said I had to pay a $50 deposit. I see from their website this is standard. I went to pay it through the payment portal however, when I get there it says I have a $0 balance and won't allow me to pay anything lol. So in one place, it says I owe $50 which needs to be paid before I start but in the other, it says I owe nothing. I am so lost hahaha. If I posted this in the wrong spot can someone move it.

I have had the same amount showing since December. I asked Jessica about it and was told it is a system glitch. I paid my tuition, and the $ 50 dollars still sits there even now. I never had to pay it at all and I've graduated now.
I'm hoping it's the same for you!

S Thanks because ever since yesterday I have been scratching my head. I am like "how do I owe you $50 on a zero balance?" lol. I do see on the website that it suppose to be paid but with no option to pay it is strange.
I do have a question. Once you were set up, even though it showed your balance, does it show that you can select/register for classes yet or did you have to wait for an evaluation of credits first? I was hoping to go ahead and register for the 10 classes I know that I have to take with them and get it out of the way if that makes sense.

You won’t actually register for classes using the online system. Registration for YourPace classes is handled separately. You will be enrolled in your first two classes for you and they will show up on your course list, unofficial transcript, etc. When you have finished a class, you will email to have another one added and it will be added for you.

Okay, I got it now. So pretty much I don't need to do anything right now except take my study.com classes I guess and wait for the Sophia and local college trans eval.

Don't worry about it. It's not for YourPace students. It's for on campus students. My account still says I have to pay my deposit from 2 years ago! HA I've completed 2 degrees since then. Your academic advisor will enroll you in YourPace classes. You can't register for any courses. Much of what you see on MaineStreet is for on campus students and won't be of any use to you. You can't register for 10 classes. You start with 2 per session. Then they are added once you finish a class and request a new one. The transcripts will take 2-3 weeks to be processed. You'll be able to see them in your MaineStreet account. You'll also get a print out of them on bright orange paper mailed to you. Once your transcripts are processed you'll have a phone call with your academic advisor who will email you a copy of your degree audit. This is not a speedy process. UMPI is on summer hours now so you will not be able to reach anyone on Fridays usually until the Fall semester.

You'll work with your advisor when it comes to class selection. Same thing with your electives. Depending on which degree program you're in and how many more electives you need, you may have to fulfill UL requirements which they will help with. There are a few classes that have prereqs so you have to complete them first. Some courses are sequential like BUS400 & BUS401. Last time I spoke with my advisor (in the spring) those 2 courses were not available every session as they rotate, but most every other class is now available every session.
