RA College Algebra
#1
Does anybody know of a self paced College Algebra that is not super expensive (or super difficult) and RA?
My little sister is going to Nursing school next year and in order to be admitted she needs the class from an RA school.

CLEP is not even an option as the grade in College Algebra and other pre-req classes is used to determine her admission to the program.

How about this independent study online course? You can join the course any time. Later once the course is completed, and you pass final exam, the official transcript can be requested (the cost is $5 as far as I remember).

Of course, it's be best to check first if the course would be accepted by your sister's college. Here's some info on accreditation:

BYU Independent Study - Accreditation

MATH 110: College Algebra (Online) - BYU Independent Study - Online Courses

(I'm going to enroll for Principles of statistics, as they don't require a prerequisite course. Aleks wasn't an option for me as my college doesn't accept ACE approved courses.)
Currently preparing for:
Uexcel: Principles of marketing|CLEP Introductory sociology

Already passed: CLEP College Spanish (476)

Still to go: |CLEP Principles of macroeconomics CLEP US History I

University of Idaho Independent Study Mathematics-Independent Study in Idaho-University of Idaho and the University of Arkansas Self-Paced Online Courses are the cost leaders in self paced RA courses at about $100/credit.

LSU, BYU and CSU-Pueblo should all have what your looking for at about $150/credit (CA is a bit more at CSU, don't know why that is). CSU-Pueblo has the best customer service in the business! Schedule of Courses > Division of Continuing Education > Colorado State University-Pueblo
MBA, Western Governors University February 2014
BS Charter Oak State College November 2011
AS in EMS August 2010

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this).  Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

Every nursing school prerequisite can be taken from UT Arlington online. Scroll through the document until you find algebra. http://academicpartnerships.uta.edu/docu...hedule.pdf

Do not assume that the courses are easy because they are online.

Not accredited at the postsecondary degree credit level. Credit from CALCampus shouldn't transfer to any of the Big Three and is unlikely to transfer to any other given RA or NA school. CALCampus is only accredited as a high school and noncredit adult education provider.

KCTCS Learn on Demand may be an option. This is one of the few courses that requires a proctor though.
