Hi, I have been out of high school for 20 years with no college. (yikes). I am trying to take as many CLEP classes in as I can but will be going slow as I have 8 kids and work full time. American history 1 is where I have started studying flash cards. When I search it, many of the posts tell me to look at the "specific test area". Could you please tell me where this is? I also have the REA book I am studying. Is this a good test to start and any recommendations for a route to go for someone like me? I would love any advice or insight. I was a A and with few B's student in high school, but I do think the saying that says "use it or loose it" is true as I do not remember a whole lot about history. Feeling a little overwhelmed in that aspect. Thank you.

I'm always happy to complete the free application waiver for those applying to WGU (I get a free gift from WGU for this). Just PM me your first/last name and a valid email so I can complete their form.

If you're not sure which degree you want to obtain, may I make a suggestion? Find an area of study that you love, or that you want to learn more about. Then, take that test. Soon enough, you'll HAVE to take courses/tests for your degree that aren't as enticing (hello Statistics and either trig or pre-calc). It might be easier to begin with something that you enjoy. Good luck! I am NOT an example to follow, but there are many people on this forum with similar situations (lots of kids and work) who have accomplished AMAZING things.
