I took the Intro to Business Law test today and scored a 48. I studied a week and a half using InstantCert and Wikipedia. My recommendations for people considering this test is to go through the flash cards til you get most of the answers right and take the Peterson's practice tests.

I just took this one 1 hour ago and got a 78.
I studied for 3 days for atleast 15 hours.
I used the REA book, one Petersons test, the IC flashcards and some notes on the exam specific feedback.
I approached this as a newbie since I don't know much more about law than what I see online.
I have passed the American Govt and US History I and Macroeconomics recently and there are a couple of questions on this test that come from those subject areas so that helped.

In addition to Instacert and Peterson's, I'd use Barron's Business Law rather than Wikipedia. It's also enough to pass the DSST Business Law II exam, so with the right preparation, you could knock both of them out in one day.

Newsflash. The clep has plain English contract law examples. I studied my but off and aced it so as long as you are taking it seriously you should pass.

passed this test with a 74. I think the Peterson's are much harder than usual for this test. For some reason the Peterson's only give you 60 min for 100 questions but the clep gives you the full 90min for 100 questions.
Contract law, offers, torts and three questions I on a topic I never heard of or saw before called bailment. Know statute of frauds (MYLEGS) and promissory estoppel. It was much easier than I expected.

I had two questions on bailment so go study that. I think it was in reference to a person parking my car.

Good morning all,
I'm taking the CLEP Business Law on this Monday (1/10). I see some great suggestions and plan to hit Peterson's and Barron's for a practice run this weekend, but have been feeling good so far based on the IC stuff only. Anyone have any other advice/resources I can use?
AirCav,
Congrats! I'm going to take a look at that PPT link you posted as well.

Definitelystudy a lot but after you do relax on the test because it's easy for someone who studies a lot using REA and instantcert. I can't comment on Barrons but others say it's good enough to study for biz law 2 so it's probablyatleast as good as the REA book.
