Accidentally took study.com Public Speaking exam before completing assignments
#1
Is it a simple matter of submitting the assignments and then retaking the exam? Or will I have to retake the entire course now? Will I incur any penalties?

Just submit the assignments (no need to retake the exam - unless all things end up lower than the 70% to pass, which is unlikely if you did well on the exam)

Yeah, even though they say in some places that you have to do the assignments before the exam, I've never seen them enforce it. For all of my Study.com classes with assignments, I took the exam first and never ran into any issues.

BA History & Psychology, Thomas Edison State University, March 2020
ASNSM Mathematics, Thomas Edison State University, March 2020

I always took the exams before submitting the assignments. The higher score on the exam, the lower score needed on the assignments to pass the course, meaning less work.

Thank you for your replies everyone! I'll proceed with the assignments normally then.

My plan at this point is the same as HogwartsSchool's. I have 184 total points from the quizzes and exam and was going to put a lot of effort into the first speech assignment worth 40 points. If I scored at least a 26/40 on it that would get me to 210 out of 300 total points for the course and a passing grade. From there I could quickly dash out the next two assignments.

How long does it usually take for public speaking's first assignment to be graded?
