I know there are a bunch of you completing your BSBA. The vast majority seem to be testing out as much as possible. I wanted to ask those of you who don't have much experience with business courses, was it terribly hard?
I know burbuja completed nearly 100 credits in 9 months, but she's a little bit of a freak of nature (in a terribly fantastic way of course) hehe. I just wanted to get feedback from everyone. I have some friends who are on the same page as me and they are also curious about TESC.

Some of these exams, e.g., Org Behavior, Principles of Management and Marketing, HRM, Principles of Supervision and Intro to Business are very easy for anyone with some professional work experience. Business Law is also easier for people with professional experience, and I'd imagine that Business Mathematics and Business Ethics are as well

I'm guessing the hard ones are accounting/economics. I've never taken either. Most of my friends haven't taken any business courses either. But I've seen people test out of these degrees, practically, and they seem to do it faster than the speed of lightening.

Ryoder, for example, is obviously really intelligent and clearly so are some others who have done it, but what every one of those testing demon has in common is discipline to set clear goals and then ruthlessly focus on accomplishing them.

To date, and granted, I don't visit every day, I've seen a lot more people on here fail it than pass it. It's my only fail to date as well.

Thanks! I was not smart enough to finish my bachelors in under 17 years though!
Yes Yenisei is right. Set a realistic long-term goal, then intermediate goals and make progress on them every day. I am good at this. I was bench pressing 315 lbs at 18 years old and I started out at 135lbs at 14. I had a daily regimen and tracked my progress with weight lifting daily, weekly, monthly and kept realistic goals.
With testing out, you can do the same thing. I challenge you to read an entire REA marketing book in two days and finish the first practice test. This is how I did it. I took the exam a few days later.
I also challenge you to stay off of this site for a while because sites like this can be helpful and harmful. Spend more time reading and studying than posting and responding and you will be done in no time.

I agree with this x 1,000,000,000,000. I have a fraction of the posts that you do and I don't have that much of a head start over you. Only difference is, I'm studying and have earned 48 credits in the past few months from testing alone plus about 6 from self paced classes. My post count is dramatically lower and my output is dramatically higher.
Not doing this to gloat - just showing you an example of how it's done.

I don't think there is any "real" issue, they are just referring to one's time spent on this board.
Instantcert is a great site. The flashcards are the best and the specific exam material is very helpful directing on specific material to study.
The forum has a different use all together. It is a community for those who are venturing using the same methods of receiving their degree, and can provide as much information for others for their experiences as well as gain from those who have taken this same path.
That being said, there are many posts about the same thing. I for one have posted dupicates. The Sticky Topics always say "SEARCH THE FORUM FOR YOU ANSWER FIRST" and most of the time it is right. Sometimes I may need clarification on a specific subject where previous topics might not make sense to me, but the answer is usually hidden somewhere.
There are plenty of questions asked that can be answered with common sense, and plenty that do not need to be answered in depth.
I'm not saying these are all scenarios directed at you, I'm just saying overall, my experience watching all posts by all members on these forums.
Much success can be given to those who have a solid, defined degree goal. The more you question yourself, the more it changes, the longer it will all take. The more time that is given to studying the flashcards and using the specific exam material the higher the success rates. Taking the tests and passing will be steps closer towards the goal, rather than making sure that path is "correct." There is no right answer.
Even if an "incorrect" test is taken, thats what Free Electives are for. That is what the joy of learning is for.
Again, don't take any of these words as an attack. I also am a victim of hoping there is an "easy" way out, but I know more now that the forums can only guide my path. It is up to me to complete my goal and ultimately get the success I need.
Hope this helps, just words of wisdom I have from experience in work and school
