It's me again! please help

I had officially decided on COSC because of costs. but after speaking to an admissions counselor today, and doing the degree concentration required of cosc. I think I'm just gonna spend the extra money for excelsior or TESU.

Which of the two are most flexible? is excelsior cheaper than TESU?

TESU is a bit more expensive dfrecore did a calculation on a different post. What degree are you going for?

Excelsior is more transparent, making TESU easier to plan for. TESU also accepts more courses than Excelsior does. However, if you're just going for a lib arts degree, I'm not sure that it actually matters.

Excelsior is cheaper than TESU by about $1k, IIRC. But I think they also require 30 UL courses? TESU only requires 15 UL credits + the UL capstone.

With how many courses you've already got under your belt, it might actually wind up being cheaper to go with TESU and take just 5 UL courses rather than 10? I'm not sure.

I have approximately 125-130 LL credits. And I’m just going for a liberal arts degree.

Don't give up on COSC too early; especially with the amount of credits you have. They do take some LL as UL and such.  Have them evaluate your transcripts and then come back here to report what they've stated.  This forum is ultimately the best source to help guide you through the alternative credit route. Their cost savings is well worth the applying and evaluation; I would also apply and have TESU evaluate your credits as well (it will take 21 days so don't delay).

Fees for the Big 3

COSC $3,181 – includes xfer of 114cr (up to 90cr of alternative) – take 6cr in residency + fees
TESU $6654 – includes xfer of 114cr (all can be alternative) – take 6cr in residency + fees
EC1 $5300 – includes xfer of 113cr (all can be alternative) – take 7cr in residency + fees
EC2 $5850 – includes xfer of 107cr (all can be alternative) – take 13cr in residency + fees
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I did degree plans for all 3, and it will be fairly easy to get a degree at any of the schools (I put the required courses in a previous post). Between 10-12 courses at each school.

So, what concentration did you tell the advisor at COSC? Did he/sh agree to it? What exactly was the problem?

I think I'm just very overwhelmed with the idea of cosc concentration to be honest.

I think you're more worried than you need to be.  I think I gave you something that would work: Psych/NatSci/HCM (there are 4 UL HCM courses and 4 UL Psych courses at Study.com).  I think it would be really easy to tie these in.  Added to BUS 310: Advanced Business Ethics, all UL are covered, concentration is covered, all GE requirements are covered.  Easy peasy!
