True. The FRC has said that gay people are a danger to children when their executive director has been proven to be a danger to children. That is not a good look.

I found a timeline that makes things clearer. In early 2002, Josh admitted to fondling little girls 4 or 5 times. It sounds like the parents did nothing, and Jim Bob ran on a platform that said that rape and incest should be punishable by death. In mid-2002, Josh admitted to touching a girl inappropriately again. He was apparently "punished." In early 2003, Jim Bob and Michelle find out he molested a girl yet again on two separate occasions. That's when they contacted the police and spoke with church elders. They told the police he was sent to do manual labor and receive Christian counseling. Michelle later admitted that he only did manual labor for a friend. When he came back from "treatment," they had the state trooper talk to him.

The ex-trooper is now saying that the family lied about the extent of the fondling. According to him, the parents told him it only happened one time. Even though he was convicted of having child pornography, he said that, if he could go back, he would have turned the case over to the trooper who handled those kinds of cases for a full report. He regrets not handling the case differently.

Over a dozen sponsors have pulled out from 19 Kids and Counting. Josh Duggar resigned from the Family Research Council almost immediately after the story broke, but I just checked today to see that his information has been pulled from their website. Judge Stacey Zimmerman has ordered that the 2006 report be destroyed. She has connections to Mike Huckabee, and Mike Huckabee has defended Josh Duggar.

Jesus and God in the Christian Bible instruct their believers to submit to earthly authorities on many occasions. Citizenship of this country requires that you follow the laws of this country. Citizenship is optional. If someone does not care for the laws of this country then they are free to go elsewhere and renounce their citizenship, or they are allowed to protest, but they still have to suffer the consequences of their lawlessness during the protest. WE are not the ones embarrassing the family; it's the family that is embarrassing themselves. Period. They have elected to be in the public eye. No one forced them into that position.

Forgiveness is not a one and done deal. It is possible to sin again after receiving forgiveness. Josh displayed the attributes of a predator by molesting five different girls over an extended period of time. That's why EVERYONE needs to be reminded of the situation constantly. It is not to embarrass anyone, it is so that innocents are protected. It's a morality tale that wolves do indeed dress in sheep's clothing, and that evil can lurk in your own home and family. They should be using this as a teaching experience to help others, but they have elected to hide until it was not possible for him to be prosecuted anymore. Shame on them.

Yeah, everything redirects to the home page. I didn't see a statement released by CollegePlus, did anyone else? I doubt there will be one now if there hasn't been already.

The parents' interview was pretty sad. There are some serious questions about the legality of the releasing of those documents, and I think it should be addressed absolutely, but the family has once again missed an opportunity to use their platform to help other victims/potential victims.
