Monday. Hm. Try to get a hold of a Peterson's CLEP book (your library might have one), and take the practice exams. All of them have detailed explanations which will supplement IC nicely. Take a spin through Strunk & White's The Elements of Style (which should be at your library) if you've time for an enjoyable book on grammar.
Can you type quickly? That will help you on Monday.

Google "five paragraph essays." Write a couple practice ones before you take the test. You will have 45 minutes (I *think*, can't remember for sure) to write your essay. Make sure you are comfortable with the 5 paragraph essay style. Good luck!

Make sure you take CLEP Freshman College Composition, not CLEP English Composition with or without essay. There is a six month waiting period for retaking an exam or else your scores and testing fees will be forfeited. That would be really horrible if you were to pass it on the second try and your score wouldn't count because of the six-month waiting period. Good luck!

Yes, what Alissa said....don't take the English Comp w/ Essay on Monday. They will probably cancel your score since you did not wait six months.

I think you will do better with the essay version, simply because the multiple choice questions are very tough and tend to be subjective. With the essay, as long as you stick to the "intro-3points-conclusion" model, use a coherent argument, and throw in a few big words, you should get a good score. Still, though, I would study a little more and take some practice tests to make sure you're ready.
