Kctcs - eng102
#1
As most of you know, I rant when confronted by courses and policies that I disagree with. It is time I said something good about KCTCS. I just finished ENG-102 with an A. This course took less than a month and the grading was very fair. It follows the typical KCTCS pattern of Pre-test - lessons - Post-test. If you score 90% on the pre-test you skip to writing an essay and reflective essay for each of three modules. There are short timed essays for each pre-test, but the professor was very liberal in scoring them allowing me to get 90% on each pre-test. The key to getting 90% is passing the multiple choice questions for the given topic. The first course I took at BYU more than prepared me for this writing course.

I thought Excelsior was going to give you Comp II or Intensive Writing credit for the BYU course.

I am a little embarrassed to admit it, but the persuasive writing course at BYU that I fought to get approved was way too intense for me. I decided to drop it and take the easy way out.

I'm cracking up here. Maybe I misunderstood your posts, but I thought you fought so hard for its acceptance because you already took it. If I would have known that you hadn't taken the course, I would have told you to stop your whining and just take English Comp II. Confusedmilelol:

Great news, Upton!

(Sorry for this very slight post. I posted a reply in this space to something completely unrelated. Off to the right thread now. :p )
