I've never heard of this, but it looks like an interesting option. I just checked ACE though, and it seems all their approved courses are lower level general education courses like algebra and psychology. I'm not Christian, but I worked for a Christian counseling accreditation organization at one point for a few years. I noticed KE offers a number of Christian Counseling courses, which is a hot subject right now. If someone were planning to attend one of their Christian college partners, KE might very well be a good option.

Hi Debbie, I am sorry for my delayed response, we have been traveling. We have 12 courses that have been recommended by ACE (American Council on Education). Upon successful completion, ACE will provide students a transcript which can be sent to one of the 1,800 member institutions for transfer. Please remember all institutions make independent decisions on credit transfer, however, if there is ever an issue with transferring credit to an ACE member, the ACE team will be the students advocate. Our courses have a christian worldview and are application based learning (essays) and have significant interaction with our trained, experienced online faculty. I have attached information on ACE and the courses. You can enroll in any course, at any time. Cost is $399 per 3 credit course. If you need further information please let me know. Thank you again for your interest. John Knowledge Elements Education Network (KEEN) Press Release - ACE American Council on Education (ACE) Recommended Courses Now Available Through KEEN. The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDITÂ) has evaluated and recommended college credit for 12 of Knowledge Elements’ general education courses. Founded in 1918, ACE is the major coordinating body for all the nation’s higher education institutions, representing more than 1,600 college and university presidents and more than 200 related associations nationwide. It provides leadership on key higher education issues and influences public policy through advocacy. ACE CREDIT connects workplace learning with colleges and universities by helping adults gain access to academic credit at colleges and universities for formal courses and examinations taken in the workplace or other settings outside traditional higher education. Students successfully completing these courses will have the option of an additional transcript with ACE. The ACE Transcript Service offers a lifelong record for students who have successfully completed our general education courses that have been reviewed by ACE CREDIT. This service enables adult learners to present a nationally recognized transcript to the college or university of their choice for the potential award of academic credit. This is a perfect opportunity for growing your enrollment by promoting the following ACE recommended courses to dual credit high school, home-school and degree completion students. Applied College Algebra Composition and Reading I Composition and Reading II Earth Science Earth Science Lab Essentials of Speech For more than 30 years, colleges and universities have trusted ACE CREDIT to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate their decisions to award academic credit. ACE CREDIT’s College and University Network is a group of more than 2,000 higher education institutions that consider ACE credit recommendations for transfer to degree programs. Note: The decision to accept a specific credit recommendation is up to each institution. “We are confident that the addition of ACE recommended courses will be very beneficial to continuing the high quality reputation of KEEN and will be very valuable to our member institutions,” said Brian Shaw, President and CEO of Knowledge Elements. “This is another step in Knowledge Element’s positive contribution to improving education for all students.” ### Media Contact: John Schmidler 615.550.9769 john.schmidler@emailke.com

There are many options that are much cheaper then $399 per course.

The exception to this might be a course that someone mentioned in a thread I started about COSC's new science lab requirement. It is a stand-alone Earth Science lab by KE for $135. It could turn out to be a good option for fulfilling that requirement.

ironheadjack Wrote:$135 is a lot different then $399. Yeah, it would only be for one credit.
