LAPU Ascend Instructional Design — lIs It Still Offered?

I’m hoping someone here might have some clarity. I’ve been looking into the Ascend program at Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU), but it seems like it might not be offered anymore. I’ve called the school and even emailed, but I’m not really getting clear answers, and the website still shows the program.

The Ascend program looks wonderful, it’s competency-based, affordable, and exactly the kind of flexible structure that would really help in my situation especially I like this particular degree. Has anyone here recently enrolled, or do you know if the program is still running?

Ah, yes, LAPU. I've read about this program on their website. If I recall, we have this one listed on our CBE wiki and you have about 4-6 months per term. Great curriculum from when I last read it, and it was relatively cheap (all things considered). I have, and still, consider doing this program as it would align well with my M.Ed

It's a shame. It was CBE, cheap, and something that I was interested in. I will kick myself for not having enrolled sooner in this program.

Yeah, it sucks this program is gone, but another one will come. That is why sometimes you have to jump the gun and apply and dive straight into programs before they are done. Although it usually happens when a program is removed quickly, sometimes the degree requirements change. CBE is growing, and schools are recognizing that students want to earn credits and degrees quickly and can complete the work quickly, saving the school time, money, and staff, since they are all online.
