As someone else said though, it only covers chapters 1-5, there is no final paper sample but you won't need one, just follow the rule set (either APA or MLA, depending on your subject) and you'll do fine.

You might be surprised at how many you actually write, mine ended up at over 40 pages. Coming up with the primary and sub-questions that were acceptable to the professor was a little tough. Start thinking about that now.

I'm taking the online studies version of the capstone and remain unclear on one thing: are you not able to finish this early? Even if you complete the paper in the first month are you still required to be active on the discussion boards for all 3 months?
Does anyone have any feedback on Dr. David Weishadle? There's only one review on rate my professor and it is cast in a very poor light.

Yes, you still have regular postings to do every 2 weeks. Technically, I suppose you could post these early. The discussion boards are all open. Then you'd only have to reply to others when they post at the scheduled time. But, not sure how that may go over with your professor.

Several of my distance learning friends have given poor reviews of him. Avoid him if you can.

I keep seeing Steve Ryans name mentioned along with positive reviews. I shot myself in the foot signing up for the class without researching the professor. Its the last 3 credits I need to graduate so I am more concerned about failing and needing to wait another 4 months to graduate than the $1,600 cost. Seeing nothing but grossly negative reviews on Dr. Weishadle has me scared

I finished the capstone two weeks ago.
This course was difficult at times but I got the feeling that as long as I followed the format of a thesis paper, (googled a lot of samples since my mentor didn't provide any), used correct citation, and made absolute sure my grammar was correct, I was guaranteed a passing grade.
Dr. Caicco was my professor and I highly recommend him. Very prompt, gracious, and encouraging.
Crazy how fast 12 weeks can go by!!

I'm in the second week of my capstone course, and I'm wondering if anyone could send me an example of the first few chapters? I have decided on a topic, and my mentor (Dr. Caicco) has given the green light on it, but I'm new to APA formatting and it would be really helpful to see some chapter examples. I've used MLA for all of my other classes...
