Look for advice about choosing CS degree
#1
Looking for some advice bro? I'm a newbie in this forum

Japanese female with low GPA in liberal arts who can pay up to $25,000 on an online degree (because I still want to go to Canada for a masters in CS. It' need money)

The ultimate goal is to obtain a Master's degree in CS and get PR in Canada.

Improve my GPA and enrich my CS background.

Should I enroll in

an online CS bachelor
or
an online CS master's program?

Have any suggestions for online CS bachelor that can be completed quickly with a high GPA?

uop doesn't have regional accreditation
wgu is only for those who live in the US
NAU's computer information technology was canceled.
Thomas Edison's CS, which gives a surprisingly good BA.

Others, like Oregon State University, are 2 year programs that cost $30,000 to complete, which feels a bit expensive.

I'm currently looking at coursera online cs Bachelor of Goldsmiths, University of London. But it's too long——3 years

Welcome to the board, it's a good first post introduction but really missing many pieces of info, a good starting point nonetheless... please review this thread, and complete the addendum and template I've asked for. Make sure you do both the addendum and template, otherwise, we won't have enough information to assist you. Link: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...admissions

Added Note: Not everyone here is a male, please refrain from always using 'bro'. Instead, you can change that to "friend". Isn't that more "Kawaii"??

Oops, here's the addendum and template, I was copy/pasting the URL when I was merging the two threads earlier... but still, it's a good thread to review (probably) as it already has the link to this here: https://www.degreeforum.net/mybb/Thread-...Area-works

You weren't clear about whether you currently have a bachelor's degree or how much experience and knowledge you have in computer science. If you have a degree and lots of experience, then moving straight to a master's is probably your best move.

If you don't have a bachelor's degree, you must get one first. If you are new to CS, then I still think persuing a bachelor's makes the most sense. Which bachelor's program depends on the answers to those and other questions.

The TESU bachelor's is great if you have experience and just need the degree in hand, but if you are a complete CS novice, you likely won't learn enough using from Study.com or Sophia to make it as an engineer or be ready for a CS master's. That doesn't mean you can't use TESU, but it may mean you will need some other training.

You mention that 3 years is too long for a bachelor's. Do you have a specific timeline you are trying to meet?

Does that $25,000 budget apply to both degrees? There are online master's programs that could keep you inside a budget like that, but probably no in-person ones.
