Low cost courses that are not cc?
#1
Are there any places to take individual courses under $133/cr anymore besides Patten and Penn Foster? I mean, besides community colleges, because of TESU considering theirs LL.

University of Idaho and University of Arkansas are over that rate now. I checked in my state & neighboring state.

Graduate Certificate Program in Diversity, Social Justice and Inclusion - LAS Extended Studies | University of Colorado Colorado Springs

I've had my eye on this graduate certificate. I have a master's degree already (MAT) and these credits seem to be straight up SOC graduate credits. If I took them all, it would be 12 towards the 18 to teach at the community college level. $162 per credit hour.

These Annenberg classes are cheap graduate credits as well. The ones that interest me are the ones that are listed as NSCI.

https://www.learner.org/workshops/graduate_credit.html

These are odd kind of sort of economics classes for about $120 per credit hour:

I am on the prowl for more credits like this.

There are universities that award graduate credit (will count as UL for an undergraduate program) for courses at VESi, PBS Teacherline, and Advanced Courses, but TESU is likely to count most of them as education courses. One person talked TESU into giving him social science credits, but this was a few years ago.

Statistics.com has some ACE-approved classes. The retail price is a little squishy - if you join their mailing list, they send coupon codes for classes or combos of classes. Also, if you're a student somewhere else, your "academic affiliation" will give you a discount (I think about 15%). Some of their classes are ACE-listed for LL credit, some for UL, and some are graduate credit. TESU has a graduate certificate consisting of only Statistics.com classes. At about $500/class or less (with coupon - retail they go up to $589, I think?), that puts them at about $167/credit hour. There are no additional course fees.

They also have an agreement with Rowan University, which would allow a transfer of up to 12 credits of the 30 credit MS in Analytics. (See the "Degrees" tab.)

I also have my eye on this one:

Graduate Certificate - Content Area Instruction Online Certificate | ACE.edu

Again, I already have a master's degree, so I am interested in classes transcripted within a field of study. This seems like a cost-effective way to do that. They probably wouldn't work for your purposes and they aren't the cheapest. I would be curious if other people know of weird graduate credit opportunities that are cost-effective and do not carry the education prefix.
