So I just finished the quizzes for a course on study.com. Was getting ready to do the proctored exam and decided I'd look at the ACE website. Well the course I done isn't listed on ACE. On study.com the class has the blue ribbon thing and says it has been evaluated for credit. I am going to assume that it used to be but no longer is.
I'm glad I checked before I took the exam. I'd hate to waste one of my 2 on something I won't get credit for. I don't mind so much as I would have taken this course anyway.
Just wondering if this happens with a lot of classes?

If it was evaluated in the past for ACE, it would still be in their database. It would show a ending date before today.
So maybe you need to search differently to find that course?

That makes sense. If the course is there I just can't find it. I couldn't find a school one day last week until I logged out of ACE and log back in, tried that and still don't see the course.
Communications 120: Presentation skills in the workplace is the specific course I am talking about.

Comm 120 isn't ACE credit recommended, it is NCCRS, so that's why you can't find it.
Working on: Debating whether I want to pursue a doctoral program or maybe another master's degree in 2022-23

Some Study.com courses are approve by ACE and NCCRS .
We are hearing conflicting story about this course (Communications 120: Presentation skills in the workplace ) so your best bet to have a pre-approved .

Ok, that makes more sense. I wish they would specify though.

Well I would have taken the course anyway. I am interested in learning. Not everything helps me towards my degree path, some is for my career path or just for my own personal wants.

Yes, it's NCCRS approved, and Study.com will send it directly to your school of choice for credit - which is a nice alternative to having to pay for a transcript.

It is specified in the syllabus about half way down the page: "This course has been evaluated and recommended by NCCRS for 3 semester hours in the lower division baccalaureate degree category."

Yeah, I took this course as well. Chances are high that it will fulfill the Oral Comm requirement, but worse case it is 3 credits that should end up as a GenEd elective.
