Masters in USA for my non-credited Bachelor degree
#11
I don't think you have a chance at using your 3-year degree except to get some jobs requiring a BA/BS. You're unlikely to find a US grad school willing to accept your unaccredited 3-year degree from Sri Lanka as equivalent to an accredited BA degree. Furthermore, I doubt you will be able to transfer courses from a foreign eval that says your school is unaccredited to any accredited US school like TESU. It doesn't hurt to try to transfer your courses or degree if you're willing to gamble a few hundred dollars, but I suspect you will get zero. I think the eval service giving you the non-accredited transcript is just ripping you off because you'll get nothing for it.

You can still use your 3-year degree as equivalent to a BA/BS (don't mention it's a 3-year degree) for employment purposes as long as the employer is not too picky about educational requirements. If the employer asks for a foreign eval, you're probably not getting the job.

I think you should plan on starting over from zero. But it's not a total loss. Your previous knowledge plus the knowledge from this board can help you earn an accredited US bachelor's degree a lot faster than four years.

I have a 142 credits in my transcript

That's what your Sri Lanka institution provided you, not what was marked as equivalent in the assessment agency.
You might want to post what was provided to you by any or all of the assessments or evaluations you received.
They should list the equivalent course assessment in each corresponding course you were evaluated on...
If any of those were recommended as equal to a USA college course, institutions will give credit course by course.

For example, you have 142 credits, but they only indicate that it's equal to 71 credits, you are only halfway to a degree.
Another example, you have been evaluated and they recommend 90 credits equivalent. You are 30 credits off...
As per my examples above and recommendations in my previous post, you only have a partial degree.
All colleges/Uni, will require you to complete bridging courses to match a four year degree... Apply to them.

Get your Bachelors first from a USA college, then think of the Masters, as none will allow you entrance.
Try your luck on the ones you mentioned others have had success, don't be picky over MA vs MSc. I mean
If you are admitted into the MA program, change your degree plan to match the MSc from that school later.
What counts is getting into the Masters at a school, you shouldn't care about MA in CompSci vs MSc in CS.
