MSML WGU Help needed.
#11
Oh well, I guess ss20ts is spot on that front... WGU MSML is the choice for CBE offerings over UMPI and UMass Global then... If of course you're looking for a different type of Masters, like the MBA, WGU has that covered too... I have to agree, just for a little bit more and a better possibility to finish cheaper, easier, faster, along with ACBSP, WGU is hard to beat! Crossing both UMass/UMPI off the Masters list for now in favor of WGU MSML...
In Progress: Walden MBA | TESU BA Biology & Computer Science
Graduate Certificate: Global Management & Entrepreneurship, ASU (Freebie)

Completed: TESU ASNSM Biology, BSBA (ACBSP Accredited 2017)
Universidad Isabel I: ENEB MBA, Big Data & BI, Digital Marketing & E-Commerce
Certs: 6Sigma/Lean/Scrum, ITIL | Cisco/CompTIA/MTA | Coursera/Edx/Udacity

I did the MSML in one term and accomplished literally nothing for two months+ of that time. In terms of the CBE masters out there, it does seem the best designed to get it done.  The UMPI one sounds awful by comparison.

Not true. From the school of IT:

MSITM allows 2 transfers - https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/MSITM.aspx
MSDA allows 2 transfers - https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/MSDA.aspx
MSCSIA allows 4 transfers - https://partners.wgu.edu/Pages/MSCSIA.aspx

Dropped:  WGU MSITM - Wasn't my cup of tea

The UMass Global MAOL is the EXACT same degree that ashkir is doing. I wouldn't touch that with a 10 foot pole! Many people can complete WGU's MSML in 1 or 2 terms. Brandman told me that I needed to plan for a minimum of 1 year and it couldn't be completed in under a year. After seeing what ashkir has done, I know there's no way to complete it in a year. ashkir also had 3 classed transferred up to the MAOL from his bachelor's degree so he had fewer classes. The classes are pure hell.

please save me.

The transfers you posted are CERTIFICATIONS not CLASSES like I said. You can't take Human Resource Management at the University at Buffalo and transfer it to WGU.

I am about to finish my Bachelor's in liberal studies with a Management minor at UMPI, and I am now shifting my attention to the MSML that WGU is offering. As far as I know, it consists of 10 classes, if I am not mistaken. I wondered if I could take courses outside of their school, like study.com or similar credit by examination courses, and then transfer them. Any  Current or former students here that want to help me?

Here's what WGU says about graduate transfer credits: https://cm.wgu.edu/t5/WGU-Student-Policy...ta-p/39436

They DO allow it as of July 2021, but it would have to be an exact course.  Study.com does not have graduate-level courses so that won't work.  You might be able to find something at Statistics.com, but at $500+ a course, I don't think it's a better option than just doing WGU.

Right. It does not make much sense. Thanks for the link

So you can transfer classes, but it would have to be a "graduate course from another institution accredited by an organization approved by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation or an international institution accredited by an international verification service." (This won't include ACE credits, I believe)

Just speculating, but if we look at UMPI's MAOL and WGU's MSML, it may be possible that some classes such as Leadership and Business Operations, Democracy and Ethical Leadership in Decision Making, and Leading Organizational Change may be possible may transfer from UPMI's program to WGU's program.  Some classes are non-tranferrable, and you must take them at WGU.

All this Master's talk is going to tempt me to go for my own Master's Degree in 2022!  UMPI I'm coming!

I've already applied, been accepted, and have gone through almost everything for the MSML at WGU. My enrollment counselor insists that you cannot transfer credit in. I have grad credit at a RA school and they said nope.
