I called Penn Foster yesterday to enroll in the Eng 121 course; there was no answer so I left a message with my phone number and e-mail. I haven't heard anything back from them. Is this normal? I don't want to be a pest but I really want to get this started! Thanks!

Did you call the Business and Industrial Department at 1-800-233-0259? I made the mistake of calling their main number and all sorts of wacky things started going on, like they wanted me to enroll in the school and send in all my transcripts before they'd let me take the class... Then I figured out what I did wrong, called the correct number and was taken care of right away.
Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Wile E. Coyote, genius. I am not selling anything nor am I working my way through college, so let's get down to basics: you are a rabbit and I am going to eat you for supper. Now don't try to get away, I am more muscular, more cunning, faster and larger than you are, and I am a genius, while you could hardly pass the entrance examinations to kindergarten, so I'll give you the customary two minutes to say your prayers.

Yes, call the Business department and speak with Mary Anne. She will set you up quickly. Takes about a day or two to get your login information and then you can start ASAP.
I forgot the guy's name I spoke with to get my transcript sent to Excelsior. I left him a message and he called me back to get my information. Transcript got there within a week.

Okay, I just tried 1-800-233-0259 again; it's the Penn Foster Workforce Development Division. It then directs me to the voice mail of Mary Beth Gilliam (sp?); that's where I left the message the other day. We'll see if I get a call back. Has anyone else had any problems like this? I feel like I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what!

They're in PA, and the east coast has been hammered the last few weeks with snow and such... There may be a weather related reason for this.
