WOW, just look at that massive spending on a video company!  I think they could just start a company to take on Activision instead of buying up the competition... I don't think the company is worth that much, but then again, it's all these big blue chips buying out other large organizations...

This deal was actually announced about 3 weeks ago, I think Microsoft is actively looking to seal this deal.

Microsoft already does gaming, so they don't need to start a new company.

They would have been better off buying Electronic Arts, which sells mainly sports games that are more stable than FPS games.
