Thanks!

Just got a new job, so trying to get up to speed on that and they've dumped quite a bit on my plate right out of the gate.

Oh, also getting married in a couple weeks, turns out the weddings don't plan themselves!

Moving on, C779 (Web Development Foundations) is done, took the test this morning.

I have completed my initial goal of 30 CUs in the first term, currently sitting at 91/123 complete, which is impressive to me since I have basically not done anything school related for about half the term. I may pick off an easy class (I'm looking at you Principles of Management) but I wouldn't expect to get much else done till the new term starts on June 1.

I am considering it, but I also want to keep something in my pocket for when I need a morale boost.

Here's what's left:

Code:
Course    Requirement
C175    Data Management - Foundations
C483    Principles of Management
C846    Business of IT - Applications
C851    Linux Foundations
C176    Business of IT - Project Management
C768    Technical Communication
C917    Network Design Foundations
C849    Cloud Foundations
C769    IT Capstone Written Project

I did the CompTIA Cloud Foundation cert before enrolling at WGU, that was pretty easy if you did the Emerging Tech notes it's all about ID'ing X As a service. The rest.. depends on your comfort level with the technologies I guess. Not sure how WGU presents the courses themselves.

It's weird that I haven't done anything in 6 weeks, but my first term ends today and I can enroll tomorrow for my next term. All said and done, I've completed 30CU in less than half the term of actually working... In theory, I could've completed the entire degree in this term had I kept the ball rolling but I never expected to be done in 1 term so I was able to justify taking the rest of the time off.

Here's what I have set up for this term:
Code:
C175    Data Management - Foundations           3     OA
C176    Business of IT - Project Management     4     Cert     CompTIA Project+
C846    Business of IT - Applications           4     Cert     Axelos - ITIL Foundation
C768    Technical Communication                 3     PA
C851    Linux Foundations                       3     Cert     LPI Linux Essentials (010-150)

I have all of the items ready to submit for C768 (Tech Communication) and will enroll and submit them as soon as I can tomorrow morning. I am feeling pretty good at the C851 (Linux Foundations) stuff and will probably work on that this weekend and ask for a voucher on/around Monday. The other two certifications are a bit dry, but I should be able to power through them and get them out of the way in relatively short order as well as the C175 (Data Management) class. Then only 4 classes remaining!

Congrats.

Project+ was very dry material wise, but the exam wasn't too hard in my experience. I've had some limited project experience though so your mileage may vary. There's a good PluralSight series for it if you want to supplement the WGU uCertify. uCertify actually isn't that bad for this one.

I didn't have Linux Foundations in my program, I had Linux+/LPIC-1. I really liked that certification, but I know it gives a lot of people trouble. But if you feel comfortable, I'm sure you're going to nail Foundations.

Good luck! You're almost there!
