Need help choosing which exams to take to satisfy my psychology in-depth requirement
#1
Hi, I'm getting a BS in Liberal arts from excelsior. I've satisfied one of my two in depth requirements and need help choosing which exams to take to satisfy the other. Ive chosen to do a psychology in depth.

So far I have taken and passed CLEP psychology so I just need 2 lower level exams and one upper level. Can anyone suggest what would be the QUICKEST and EASIEST exams to take with a lot of overlap?

My choices are:
CLEP intro to educational psychology LL
DSST lifespan development psychology LL
ECE lifespan development psychology LL
ECE abnormal psych LL
ECE psychology of aging UL
ECE research methods of psychology UL
ECE Social Psychology UL

...or any other exams etc...

I want to take all exams in one day simultaneously because im in a hurry to complete my degree. Thank you for any help or suggestions

My depth was in Psych also.

DSST Lifespan development had a lot of overlap with other exams. ECE Research and ECE Social Psych have a lot of data analysis, so I didn't take them. Abnormal (I took the TESC one, not ECE) was a lot of overlap with general psych and lifespan. ECE Psych of aging has a lot of overlap with lifespan and was very doable with Instantcert flashcards.

Also, someday maybe a MS in Forensic Psychology, just for fun.   Oh, and a BS in Animal Behavior.  And, maybe when I'm 85 a PhD in something fun.

OP, I don't know how it would transfer in, but TESC's abnormal psych exam is an upper level exam, and less expensive I believe than the ECE exams.

ECE Life Span was my fav! Not that it was super easy, but because the text was so interesting. Big Grin ECE Aging is somewhat dry but contains overlap from Life Span. Social Psych has quite a lot of overlap from Intro to Psych and Intro to Socio.

I found DSST Lifespan and CLEP Educational Psych had some overlap

Is there any difference between the CLEP Intro to Psycho and Abnormal Psych. I always figured Abnormal Psych is much more in-depth?

Much more in-depth and a lot about axis. You need to know a lot about the difference between diagnosis - i.e. different between major depression and a depression that is situational, diagnosis onset by age, etc.
