Your degree plan isn't just a list of credits, it's a list of credits that you line up to the specific degree requirements for your degree from your school. You start making a degree plan by looking a at the requirements for your target degree.

For the BSBA from TESC, there's a common basic framework and then varying requirements for different areas of study – for BSBAs "in" Marketing, Finance, etc. The BSBA in General Management is a good place to start. General Management is an interdisciplinary area of study, drawing on electives from three or more areas of business.

How does your list above line up directly with TESC's degree plan I've linked? Inexactly. For everything you list you have to ask yourself, "Where would this go?"

FEMA credits (all or almost all), Personal Finance, and CPR would go under Free Electives. But for a BSBA at TESC, you can see from TESC that

TESC Wrote:III. Free Electives 6

there's only room for 6 semester hours in free electives to "fit." Any more free elective credit would overflow into Excess Credit. Excess credit doesn't get you closer to the 120 sh minimum. Every credit that gets you closer to your 120 sh has to "fit in" somewhere corresponding with TESC's degree requirements.

keymommy2000 Wrote:Communications-3 Credits
Intro to communications-3 credits

A course called "Communications" would probably duplicate one called "Introduction to Communications." If two credit sources duplicate, you can only get credit toward your requirements for one. (The other would go to Excess Credit.)

Meanwhile, you can see that the list above omits some requirements that TESC lists. You'll have to cover

TESC Wrote:Business in Society or International Management (3) […]
Computer Concepts and Applications/Introduction to Computers/CIS (3)

and some additional business credit that would go under

TESC Wrote:B. Area of Study… 18 [and…]]
C. Business Electives 9

You might also want to check yourself where your credits would fit against TESC's general education requirements, at the top of the page linked.

Good luck! Big Grin

Which of these credits have or haven't been taken?

If you haven't taken any, Here is a link to the TESC degree plans on the Degreeforum Wiki.

One that many people tend to use is Sanantone's BSBA General Management.

Let us know where you stand so we can give you more specific help.

Just wanted to point out to OP that you cannot use 27 FEMA in a business degree; there is only space for 6 hours of free electives. Use Sanantone's degree plan as linked above.
BA, MA, EdS, MMT, etc.
83 hours of ACE-worthy credits

Hello All, i'm utterly confused, and am very discouraged, because i thought i was almost done, but without the 27 fema being counted towards my degree, i'm screwed! i'm trying to Graduate by June 2014. i'm not sure what to do smh... But thus far i have completed those in yellow, and those with in progress next to them are the ones i'm currently taking... As to my learning style i really like straighterline, and penn foster, as you can see... But i do know there are somethings i willnt be able to take with either one of them, and am open to testing out as a last resort. Also i have a balance with tesc that i'm currently paying off so i cannot take teceps yet. Can someone help me map this out please, I appreciate it so much for your input already

I have read several times that Cultural Anthropology through SL is pretty easy. They also offer Business Law and Business Communications but I am not sure of the level of difficulty. Or, you can use CLEP for Business Law and take advantage of the specific feedback forum.
