As the title states, I'm short 1 credit in my business electives from my Business Law class being only 2 credits when I took it. I'm wondering if anyone knows of any free business classes that are ACE approved. I can always go take the Intro to Business CLEP I guess since it's free for me, but it would be great to knock it out using something like the CPCU Ethics course. This might be a long shot, but I figured if anyone knew the answer it would be the fine folks on this forum.

Pretty sure I have answered my own question when remembering the TEEX classes transfer in as CAP which would fit perfect in the Business electives area.

If you haven't taken the 3 free NFA courses, I think one of them are transferred in as a business course, 1 credit exactly.

Not sure what the NFA courses are or where to begin with them. Appears I might need to do some searching on here.

National Fire Academy
The National Emergency Training Center/National Fire Academy (NFA) offers three free courses that are ACE-recommended for 1 credit each.
Q118 Self-Study Course for Community Safey Educators (1 credit) - free elective
Q318 Fire Service Supervision: Self Study (1 credit) - free elective
Q137 Hydraulic Calculations for Water-Based Fire Protection Systems Plan Review (1 credit) - free elective
To signup, use the following link and find these three course codes in the list: Q0118, Q0137, Q0318: USFA NFA Courses, Schedules and Instructors Course Search Results
After you are enrolled, use this login URL to take the classes: https://nfa.plateau.com/learning/user/login.jsp
(I think it was dfrecore who told me once that one of them comes in as HRM, but i dont know which one. I'd assume Q318, but confirm that first. I know Q118, the only one I needed, did not comes in as HRM -- I just needed any free elective)

Q0318 is Fire Service Supervision comes in as HRM-331 (duplicate of Human Resource Management, so only good if you don't already have that as a course).
Intro to Business is also available as a Saylor course, so only $25.
I'm not sure if the TEEX courses come in as business electives or not - my notes say that Cybersecurity for Everyone (CAP-295) and Cybersecurity for IT Professionals (CAP-385) come in as Free Electives, and Cybersecurity for Business Professionals (CIS-244) can be used as a Gen Ed. So I would probably check with TESU to see what they will do with each course before you take them.

I took the intro to business clep a while back, and since you have a business degree basically completed, I that would be the quickest and easiest way to get the credit. The exam should be easy for you and you don't even have to send in a transcript as college board will send the score straight to TESU at no cost to you. Win/Win.

PrLoko-isms
Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.

Thanks Prloko. I might take the Business CLEP Tuesday at base testing. I already have the HRM - 331 so that would duplicate. I just hate test, it's like I get test anxiety...
