I am almost done with my capstone. I just had my last academic advising meeting this week and TESU is accepting Study.com Ethics in the Social Sciences for 3 LL credits.
Coopersmith's Physiological Psychology comes in at 3 UL credits. That's all I have left. And they are both planned on my academic evaluation.
They said they will need to have my transcripts by August 1st for September graduation, but they said I can apply for graduation now.
I kind-of can't believe this is all coming together. : D

Congrats to you!! Well done!!
Quick question - I have heard that TESU will rarely
Pre-approve you in your degree plan to take courses OUTSIDE of tesu. Did they give you an exception? Or is this the norm?
Congrats again!

Just curious. Can you retake them after they have gotten approved?

Thanks! I am really excited. This is the first time I have ever had any classes "planned" on my academic evaluation. In the past, I was not officially enrolled, so I would get the approval by phone/email. I have only officially been enrolled since I signed up for my capstone this spring. I wish I could tell you if it's the norm or not.

Can you confirm that Study.com's Ethics in the Social Sciences came in as an equivalent for TESU's version for the degree requirement?
And if so, can you say who your Adviser was? My degree completion has kind of been hanging on that process going through with that class.
Thanks!

Thanks! I got ahold of TESU yesterday regarding that class, because I have been wondering for a long time what the equivalency would be regarding that course. My advisor was Brian Muhlberger, and he stated that ethics in the social sciences comes in as SOS-216 (LL), and that it DOES satisfy that requirement. Great news for us Psychology Majors!!

My advisor was Amy Immordino and she said the Study.com Ethics in the Social Sciences would fulfill the requirement for TESU, as long as I had enough UL credits in the other requirements, which I will by taking the Coopersmith Physiological Psychology.

Thank you both so much!! With that knowledge, I'm that much closer to finishing, and for about $1,200 less.
Does TESU require 18 upper level units or 30? Including the Capstone, I'll have 18 in the major and 27 overall. I have one UL history course I took elsewhere that they transferred in as a lower level course. If I need 30 overall, I'll have to see if they will re-evaluate that course.

Sure wish that option was available for me! That was an expensive TESU course I had to take back during my Psych degree days, and I can't say it was a valuable experience.
good luck, psych majors!

From what I was told, they only require 15 credits of UL in the required Area of Study. Sounds like to me that you will be perfectly fine!
