I second the fact of poor service from TESC I called the other day because I was having problems adding a class I might as well have been talking to a monkey. The lady put me on hold and came back and didnt even address the problem. I have worked in a call center before so I understand but this was a pretty simple and straight forward question. I think TECEP Negotiations is with Saylor as well.

I hope they add to the list (since it says first 6 Saylor courses) and add them SOON, not 3-4 years down the line when I've already graduated. ![]()

That article is from over a year ago, so they are definitely taking their time.

I just noticed the Environmental Ethics TECEP, is that a new one too? it's aligned with Saylor's ENVS203.
I'm wondering if this can be used for Responsible Ethical Leadership, I was planning on using Saylor's Business Ethics, but this is more interesting.

Yes, this exam is new and I would imagine it just may fill the ethics requirement. i agree, it looks very interesting. I would contact TESC for approval, prior to taking the exam to fill that slot (unless someone else has established its use). Along with listed text recommendations and/or saylor materials, I would advise using the following free FEMA IS courses to help study for this exam: IS.3, IS.5, IS.346, IS.393. I took all these courses and they were great! A forum member also recently used DSST BUS302 Business Ethics in Society which many here were told previously would not fit the slot. Do not know if it was a one off or if they've recently approved that exam as well. You might want to contact TESC just for clarity's sake. Spring 2014 Signals Newsletter discusses the Saylor/TESC collaboration. Also lists most recent exams: CIS107, NEG401 and APS289. ETH210 and MUS221 were released within the last 4-6wks. Personally, I wish TESC would introduce some upper level humanities credits, bring back the Fundamentals of Counseling (or something close), & maybe introduce some other criminal justice type credits.

Although it's not a TECEP, the DSST Fundamentals of Counseling can count as upper level psychology (PSY-331) if you ask TESC to transcribe it as such. If you don't ask, though, they count it as lower level COU-262.

I'm thinking TECEPS that would cover topics like:
Women in the 20th Century History of Film,Theatre, & Performance Art in America Native American Culture Criminal Justice Through History International Culture of the Internet Public Policy & Advocacy Design, Aesthetics, & Sustainability International Crimes & Justice Human Trafficking (possibly part of the above suggestion)

I'm wishing for more upper-level Music and Natural Science TECEPs. Right now, most of the UL TECEPs are concentrated under the Business category.
By the way, are TECEPs cheaper than PLAs? |
