I emailed TESC academic advising today, to ask is the speech portion of the Principles of Public Speaking DSST required. To my surprise the answer is no!
Quote:Is the speech portion of the DSST Principles of Public Speaking exam required, to be accepted at Thomas Edison State College?
Quote:No, the College does not require the essay portion of the DSST exam, Principles of Public Speaking.

Not sure if you read this exam requirement from the factsheet:
The exam consists of two parts.
Students must pass both parts of the exam in order to receive credit.

There are a exams that note optional essay (ex Ethics in America) but this is not one of them. If Prometric does not award credit for the exam, TESC will not either.
