I was told that they do.
My son is taking A&P I & II from them. My wife is retaking A & P II from them as well.
My son is a 17 year old Jr who is loving the homeschool/DL college credit life after spending his entire life in school.
My 8th grade son is begging to join him.

Blessings,

Is there an edit button? I just noticed I said 'excepted' instead of 'accepted'. Grrr!

KeepItSimple Wrote:Hi!
This is my first day here, so I am a bit lost. We are just beginning our journey, and hopefully getting a jump start. We homeschool, and our youngest would be in 8th grade next year in traditional school. He is very much interested in design (think LEGO), so we are looking at various engineering degrees (mechanical, civil), but also perhaps marketing/business.
When I was in 8th grade, I wanted to be an eye surgeon, 9th a computer engineer, 10th an economists. My point being is that your 13 yr old is not in the mental state to figure out what they want to do and will probably change their mind or may even burn out. Concentrate on your child getting the Gen Ed requirements while he is in high school (CLEP English, Humanties, Psychology, etc.) Every college/university requires them in some form. Let him get a good 30-60 credits. Best case, he has two years to finish a degree HE wants, a lesser result, he has one less year of school, worst case, he is prepared to retake any course his school doesn't accept.

Don't waste time by trying to save time. The only sure way to complete your degree is to knock out credits quickly and efficiently.
Don't let easiness bite you in the rear. Know your endgame (where you want to be) and plan backward from there. Your education is a means to an end.
Be honest professionally, socially and academically. There are people (especially little ones) who look up to you and they're going by your example.
Be proud. Whether you're an Engineer or Fast Food worker, there is honor and dignity in hard work.
Picking on people weaker than you only proves that you are a weak person.
