Sophia previously had a 1 credit course titled Student Success. It was $49 but if you used the $49 coupon they give you it made it free. I completed this course and maybe some of you did too.
Anyways, the student success course no longer exists and there is a new 3 credit course titled "College Readiness." Apparently, if you already did the 1 credit student Success you are unable to even sign up for the college readiness course. So you can't do both.
I just found this interesting and wanted to share it.

LOL, i just checked on this and I was able to add the College Readiness course. Most likely because I don't have the College Success course completed. Yay, extra 2 credits for fun, haha!

The new course is 3 credits and my guess is once you complete one you wont be able to complete the other.

Once it's out of the "all courses are free" status, it's not free - it's the normal price I think ($349).

The price was $229 (before the all courses free of course).
and Readiness has a Touchstone where Success did not.

If you go to a school partner page it shows at as $329 for most courses. Also Idk what a touchstone is. But the student success course had milestones.

On two of the partner pages for readiness, it says 229. yes, most other courses are 329. This was isn't. New course. look on excelsior or bellevue to see that intro price. I remember it was cheaper than others when it was rolled out a few months ago.
Touchstones are assignments you turn in to be graded.

Ah. I see it now. I've never done a Sophia course with an assignment before didn't know that.

If you already completed the Student Success course you can add the new College Readiness Course on a separate university associated account for free.
