I was wondering what the procedure is for getting Penn Foster course credit onto an ACE transcript?
I just signed up for the Financial Management course and the person that I spoke with indicated that the course is ACE approved, but could not tell me the procedure for getting the course credit on an ACE transcript once the course is completed.
Does it work the same way as ALEKS? Will Penn Foster have to submit the course credit to ACE similar to how Straighterline does it?
Does anyone know if TESC will accept the course on a transcript from Penn Foster?
Thanks,
-Jeff

Yes they will.
Just take the course and when you are done, go to the ace site and request the credits from PF.
They will show up in a day or so.
TESC will take anything ACE approved and they are very very familiar with Penn Foster so those transfer onto your transcript with ease.
You can talk to your advisor about it and ask for it to be added to your plan. Then it will show up on your eval as PL instead of CR.
I took the PF financial mgmt and Structured Systems Analysis and Structured Systems Design. All 3 transferred with no issues at all.

Thanks ryoder, I appreciate the information.
What are your thoughts on the Penn Foster classes? How do they compare with Straighterline? Can the examinations be completed from the information in the study guide and textbook? How much time on average did they take to complete.
Did you take the Structured Systems Analysis and System Design for the BSBA CIS? Where both of those courses required for the BSBA CIS? I am considering that concentration for the BSBA.
Thanks again.

Answered through pm but for the record you only need the sys analysis for two axe credits. It's web based tests straight out of the book untimed and a final proctored exam with anyone with an associates degree as the proctor.
The tests were easy for me with my experienceinthe industry but most of the questions are straight out of the book.
