Passed my first two CLEP tests!
#1
Hey IC,

I joined the site about 2 weeks ago, after reading the forums for a few months. I just got back from taking my first two CLEP tests, Humanity's and Analyzing and Interpreting Lit. passed both with a 62 and 75 respectively. Just wanted to say thank you to the members for the helpful posts in the test specific forums and for all of the helpful general knowledge. Time to go study for Social Sciences and History and Natural Sciences next!

Wow, nice scores. You're taking all of the six credit tests aren't you. That will give you lots of credits quickly. I need to knock out both SS&H and NS CLEPs.

I'm jealous! I have been dreading those tests, but you give inspiration. Can you share your study techniques for the exams and how long you prepared.

Congrats again!!

Hey Oneday,

I spent two weeks studying, off and on for about 2 hours a night. The majority of my study time I focused on Humanity's content, I read a lot so I just brushed up on literary terms for Interpreting and Analyzing Lit. The IC flash cards helped, and theres a excel spreadsheet located in the Humanity's forum that had a lot of solid details to remember.

Aside from that, I did all 3 of the Peterson online tests, and I also did a quick read over of the Princeton review and the REA General Exams guide. I think that the Peterson Tests gave good indication of the same questions I saw on my CLEP.

And yea, rossatkinson I am going to try for all of the 6 credit exams, though I have some hesitations about the math ones, as math was never my strong suit in school.

Warning!!! Testing can be addictive. hilarious

Sure beats the time and money spent, if you can accomplish this on your own.

Nice job!
