In review, I would describe the test as very general and didn't focus on any specific area in depth. A lot of basic questions about the structure of contracts, i.e.; what constitutes an offer, acceptance, consideration. Know what type of transactions are covered under the statue of frauds. Be clear on constitutional protections of commercial speech. Know the meaning of promissory estopel, novation, exculpatory and executory contracts. The instantcert modules really covered the subject matter well. IC's last two modules, with the various scenarios made for a very good practice. There were a lot of questions that used this format of posing scenarios related to mock contracts. My best recommendation is drill on IC until you are comfortable with the material and you should have no problem with the test. Thanks to all for the congrats!

Please let me know how you did. My university will let me take the one with or without essay (English Comp). I have been getting killed on the Peterson Exams, so I was wondering if I should opt for the one w/Essay. Thse damn Peterson exams make me feel like an idiot..lol

I agree about feeling like an idiot. I finally caught on though due to the fact that I have been through enough CLEP exams to realize that some of the Peterson's questions are ridiculous. Sometimes I'll just look at a question and not bother to try to figure it out because I know that CLEP doesn't ask questions like it. Some are tricky, some split hairs, some are way too lengthy... many questions on the actual CLEPs are not that difficult. So I take the Petersons test (because it is the only way to get the answers) to use the answers as a way to get more information to study.
If I do okay on the Peterson test so much the better, but I got tired of the letdown when I thought I was not doing well because of how I did on Petersons.
Also, the Peterson's is only the per cent of what you got right - each question weighted the same. CLEP is scored in some other way - maybe taking into account the difficulty of the question, or comparing your results to others (maybe some others here know more), to get the mysteriously calculated number between 20 and 80.

I remember reading that you should always go for the one with the essay. Anyone else get that advice?
