I passed the exam today with a 75! I wanted to take the exam prior to Thanksgiving, so I could enjoy my turkey and football!!
I would recommend anyone taking the exam to use the REA book. It is a great resource. I used instacert, but only went through 2 or 3 of the sections.

I seem to remember getting a 70 on it with only the Comex book.

I read the entire REA book. I know it is roughly 240 pages, but I read the whole book. I am not sure if you need to with this exam. Instacert may prepare you just as well. Taking the exam, I was uncertain of my score. I believed I did well but when I got the 75 it felt good. I would guess that I answered somewhere between 85-90 questions correctly on the exam to arrive at that score.
If you have the time, definetly read the REA book.

I just came back from the testing center and passed this exam with a 72. I studied for about a week (3 hours a day). I covered one section of IC every day (7 sections total). At the beginning of each day. I would review the section that I studied the day before.
Example: On day 2, I reviewed section one and then introduced myself to section 2.
On day 3, I reviewed sections 1+2 and then introduced myself to section 3.
And so on... I also glanced over the College Board book and covered the 92 questions in there yesterday. You will already know most of it from the IC material, but there where a few new items in there.
Things to know:
Know your principles and the definitions: planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling.
Know the Wager Act
Know the definitions of the following:
Budgets
PERT
Groupthink
Contingency
Front Line vs Staff
Social Responsibility
Chain of Command
Management by Objectives (Participative)
Expectancy Theory
Hawthorne Studies
Open vs Closed systems
People- Know what they are known for.
Fredric Taylor- Scientific Management
Henri Fayol- Created the Principles of Management Theory
Weber- Rationale-Legal + Bureaucracy
Anytime you see Edward Deming's name, the answer will have something to do with Quality.
Some of the questions are almost word for word from IC and the College Board Book. Quite a few are just common sense and you should use the process of elimination.
This test is fairly easy and can be passed using IC only. Keep in mind that I am a pass or fail guy so the score doesn't matter at my school (Strayer).
I hope this helps someone. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I wanted to get this stuff posted while I was still fresh in my mind. It's the least I can do because this board has been a Godsend. The information is being shared is invaluable. I wanted to contribute to someone else's fate.

Has anyone used the REA book for Principles of Management to also pass the DANTES exam - Principles of Supervision?

I used IC and REA to study for Management, and then used the chapter in the Official DSST book to touch up on Supervision. That was enough to pass both with plenty of room to spare.
Hope that helps,

I plan on taking the Principles of Supervision tomorrow or next week and I plan on using the REA book that I just used to pass management. I will also go through the IC flashcards and the DSST study guide. I have found that there is a great deal of similiarity for these two exams.
