Ok so I've gotten through the first 5 sections of the IC flashcards, and know them fairly well. Most of them I can guess the answer, I guess b/c I've taken Marketing and Business Law classes. Anyway, I've taken two of the Peterson's practice tests with a 73/100, then a 71/100. I don't feel like I know a lot of them from the flashcards necessarily, but more common sense. I'm planning on taking the CLEP tomorrow (Thursday) after studying the last two IC flashcard sections, and taking the last Peterson's test. Do you think I'm READY??? Or should I wait, my graduation depends on this test! So I'm pretty nervous...

Oh btw I need 50/80 on the actual CLEP to get credit, Thanks!

I wanted to take the Principles of Management CLEP. I just found out about it today, and I need to have this CLEP and another one done by August 15th, a deadline for my master's program that I just got into for Occupational therapy. I studied basically for about four hours for the Sociology, Human Growth, and Educational Psychology, and I passed all three, so I was wondering if someone could tell me how fast I can be ready if I only use InstantCert.
Thanks.

I started studying last Friday, August 25th, about 2-3 hrs/ day. I can't study any longer than that, I get too distracted. I've only studied the IC Flashcards, taking notes of the important people, and whatnot. So I guess I've studied almost a week, and in actuality no more than an hour and a half per day. I studied each section at a time, and then the next day I would review the last sections I did.
I was planning on taking the management CLEP yesterday but the computers were "down." So I'm going to try again today. So far I've gotten 73/71/76 on the peterson's practice tests. I'm so tired of studying this stuff I just want to get it over with! I'll let you guys know how it goes!

Ok guys so I went and took the Principles of Management CLEP yesterday, I passed with a mediocre score of 59/80 :o
I guess I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was. A majority of the questions were situational, if this then this...
To be honest its all kind of a blur, I can't seem to remember any specific questions. There were questions on the functions: planning, organizing, staffing directing, and controlling. Also questions on Taylor, Fayol, Weber, Barnard, and others that I didn't know, like "this guy did this:" and then you pick which one you think it is. There were also questions on Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Also some group questions, which I didn't really know. Like if a group is cohesive or whatever... I guess I should have studied the last two sections of the IC flashcards. I'm sorry I can't be more help, I'm just happy that I passed. Now I can graduate!!!hilarious

I took the management test today got a 69/80! I am very happy, the IC cards were definitely enough- but you should know them cold and randomly too. The Patterson tests actually made me very nervous- I got onl a 67/100 on the first one, and I only got halfway through the second one before I had to go take my tests. I say go IC all the way!!!!
