dfrecore Wrote:Just to clarify, you cannot get a second BSBA if your first BSBA is General Management.
And, if you wanted to get a BSBA in CIS and another specialization, then you have do it all at the same time, and you only need 18cr in the second AOS (12UL, 6LL). Rather than being a second degree, this is instead a double-major:
Two Areas of Study Within One Degree
Similar to declaring a double major, you are able to pursue a second area of study within your degree program. For example, you can complete a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Bachelor of Arts in English – you would only need to complete the Area of Study requirements as outlined in the program’s credit distribution guide – because your general education requirements would remain the same (as opposed to pursuing a second degree, where you would need to fulfill another set of general education requirements). No more than 9 credits that are used in the first area of study may be used for the second area of study. All related required credits for each area of study, as well as all degree requirements, must be met at the same time. To pursue this, all you have to do is contact your academic advisor, and it will be added to your degree plan.
So you have to figure out what you want before you're ready to graduate. The good thing is that you may still be fairly close to a CIS and another AOS, and just need to figure out what that might be to get the most out of what you've taken. So, let us know what courses you've taken in the AOS and we'll see if we can't help you figure out a plan before you pull the trigger on the GM degree.
So, interesting dilemma. I called TESU academic advising and after talking to the dean of SBM that this does not apply for the BSBA domain and would only apply if it is from two domains for example Bachelors of Art photography. The reason being is because other majors would require a lot more credits.
As such they said I would be required to get 18 credits for both the BSBA Gen Man and the BSBA: CIS.
That being said they said, and due to the fact that the wording is ambiguous
“Students may complete up to two areas of study within one bachelor's degree. No more than 9 credits that are used in the first area of study may be used for the second area of study. All related required credits for each area of study, as well as all degree requirements, must be met at the same time. Students cannot complete a third area of study within one bachelor's degree.”
I was told that I could send an appeal with the
SBM@tesu.edu because it doesn’t specify and is unclear.

Teex Cybersecurity for Everyone:
Looks like that will be it for LL courses.

According to Sanatone Wikia guide:
Sanantone's BSBA in Computer Information Systems post-July 1, 2015 | Degree Forum Wiki | Fandom powered by Wikia
• Programming Language – CSU Global CBE (Basic Programming), Uexcel (Introduction to Computer Programming Using Java), Penn Foster (verify ACE approval) or Straighterline (Introduction to Programming in C++)
• Systems Analysis and Design (UL) - CSU Global CBE for Information Systems Analysis and Design (CIS-320)
• DSST Management Information Systems (UL)
• TECEP Network Technology (UL)
• TEEX Cyber Security for Everyone (2 LL credits and free)
• DSST Fundamentals of Cybersecurity (3 UL credits)
• TEEX Cybersecurity for IT Professionals (2 UL credits and free)
• TEEX Cybersecurity for Business Professionals (2 LL credits and free)
• CSU Global CBE Cloud Computing and Big Data
• CSU Global CBE Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing?
So I would probably try and do All of the CSU Global exams
