Hi all
One of my relatives is thinking about pursuing major in Quality Management. It made me thinking what can one do with such major in future?
Is it promising at all? What are your thoughts?

I think Quality Management is a subset of Project Management. As such, it probably has okay prospects for future employment. However, I would expect that a Project Management major with, perhaps, a Quality Management certificate would potentially prove more versatile than just majoring in Quality Management. AFAIK, the more you pigeonhole yourself into certain fields, the higher your salary can be but the fewer jobs are available. Many medium to large scale companies know that they need project managers. Fewer of them are going to want/need to hire someone with specific Quality Management skills.

Quality management is apart of project management which is a massively growing field and operations management. Quality management is used a great deal in different aspects of IT, construction, and manufacturing.
