Quantitative Analysis

Hello! I am trying to graduate from Excelsior College and I have just heard that they require a course called quantitative analysis. I was wondering if I have to take it as a UExcel or if there is a much cheaper alternative I could go with.

If you need the UL credit, the UExcel is probably going to be the only way to get that. Otherwise, TEL Learning offers a LL Quantitative Analysis course: https://www.tellearning.org/product/quan...it-course/

You would need to take it at a specific school for it to work, though. Oklahoma Christian University transcripts it as MATH 1173 – Quantitative Reasoning. The others just bring it in as "college math".

You could also ask if CSM Learn would work.

Wow. Thank you. I will definitely look into that. Any tips on how to pass a UExcel test? I've heard that they can be difficult.

If you're worried about passing, make sure you buy the "add-on" package that includes the study guide and the free retake. That costs a bit more than the base exam, but should guarantee a pass on at least the second take.

It's $110 + proctoring fees and study materials. TEL Learning's course may be marginally cheaper once you take that into account. But I don't know if it would work for this requirement.

Yup, I would email your academic advisor asking to have the CSM course added to your evaluation. It should hit the spot and it's $39 ($35 if you sign up through the newsletter option) and it's non-proctored/self-paced. Take it slowly, and you'll surely finish bit by bit...

I can guarantee you they won't take CSM Learn or anything LL for that. The Quantitative Reasoning GE requirement is NOT the same as the UL Quantitative Analysis business requirement, which is a course you would take AFTER Statistics.

Coopersmith has an UL QA course.

Obviously, you'd want to clear it with your Excelsior advisor to be sure, but I've seen students transfer the QA course to Excelsior.
