Thanks to some amazing folks on here, I plan on pursuing the Pierpont AAS degree. But I need some clarification, if anyone has the answer. I emailed ASU but haven't heard back.
In order to satisfy the 1 credit RA class required for Pierpont, I was going to take the CIS 194 - online Business Technology Fundamentals from ASU that's listed on the wiki page https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Pierpont_C%26TC
Does anyone know if the CIS 194 Business Tech Fundamentals class (found here: https://ea.asu.edu/courses/business-tech...s-cis-194/)
is the same exact class that is offered on Coursera called "Technical Support Fundamentals by Google?" (found here: https://www.coursera.org/learn/technical...it-support)
Both classes have the exact, same information for 'what you'll learn.'
I completed the Tech Support Fundamentals class and entire Google IT support certificate on Coursera a couple of years back with the Grow with Google scholarship. So my thinking is, if ASU's CIS 194 Business Tech Fundamentals is the exact same class (to be completed on Coursera), I won't be able to take the class again or receive the 1 credit RA from ASU.
(I've tried re-setting the classes for the Google IT support certificate on Coursera and re-taking the exams to brush up, but they won't let me re-take the exams without upgrading and paying. I guess they changed the tests/quizzes etc since I first took them.)
I hope all of that makes sense (my brain is tired).

It's the exact same information, but it's to be completed on the ASU platform and NOT on Coursera. I, too, took the Google IT Professional Cert (in 2020), then did the 1-credit ASU class. No issues whatsoever.

Note: Don't rush and go through the menu options. It's relatively easy and straight forward, if you have an account, login and register. If you don't have an account, wait for access, then register. It takes at least 2 days for access and verification of your ID. Good luck.
All the info you need is on the website and the FAQ: https://ea.asu.edu/
Here's some additional info about ASU UL and the links to the classes: https://degreeforum.miraheze.org/wiki/Ar...al_Learner

My wife is trying to do the CIS194 course at ASU. She needs one class to meet the requirements for something. How does she enroll in it? Does she have to pay the application fee? She made an account but hasn’t gotten an asurite ID.

Please review the links that you have quoted, there are no application fees. You sign up for the class and pay the $25 to start the class, once you finish, it's $15 for the transcript. There is no $400 for this class, all the others are $400 plus this $25 fee. Again, sign up, wait for email ID, take the class and send the transcript.
